About Sabera Kara

I am a doctoral researcher in the History Department at the University of Warwick, researching Indian Muslim women’s history in modern South Asia, focusing on Muslim women’s rights under religious personal laws, particularly in relation to polygamy and divorce. My research interests lie in the histories and theories of colonialism, gender and feminism, religion, and nationalism.
